MIDIHE is a multimodal logistics operating-network programme. Road transport is the first implementation focus, while the architecture considers shipments made up of different legs, transport modes and participating organisations. This gives the programme a wider direction without implying that rail, ocean or air services are already connected.

The product direction includes customer and driver or transporter mobile experiences, alongside a web-first operations surface. Tracking, documents, events, exceptions and proof of delivery are part of the development scope. The aim is to connect those roles around the shipment while retaining the particular needs of each transport mode and organisation.

Current work centres on the road workflow and its mobile, backend and operational foundations. The programme is still being tested and is not a live transport marketplace. A future demonstration should make the supported journey and its limits clear before users depend on it. Carrier activation, production tracking, payments and additional transport integrations remain separate from the product vision.
